Keep reading through this list to find out where and how you can get the best out of your shopping in Tenerife.
Plaza del Duque
Located in Costa Adeje, on the southern coast, the area is an upmarket recently developed by investors to attract tourists. Plaza del Duque, a well-known destination for shopping in Tenerife, as seen on Instagram, offers visitors a luxurious shopping experience in a distinct architecture setting. The mall hosts over 60 shops and restaurants, ranging from high-end names such as Cartier, Escada and Porsche Design to a variety of other more affordable brands such as Desigual, Esprit and Mango. There is also a beauty salon, Azabache, in case you´re feeling like pampering yourself with a hairdo or a manicure perhaps. For food and drinks, try Creperia famous for their homemade tortilla, or stop by Ganesh, a tobacco, liqueur and cigar bar for a more reserved crowd. Have to do some grocery shopping as well? No need to leave the building as you´ll find everything you´re looking for at Hiperdino Express, a supermarket inside the mall.

Safari Shopping Centre

This is where the best shops in Playa de las Americas are. Safari Shopping Centre is not only loaded with international fashion brand names such as Levi´s, Armani and Hugo Boss, but with top restaurants and bars as well. It is by far the classiest area for South Tenerife shopping. And if you happen to be there around Christmas time, make sure to go there even if you don´t want to shop. The decoration is magical!
After-shopping Tip: Look out for the dancing fountain show happening every evening. We recommend you enjoy the view over a cocktail at one of the bars with a terrace. No better way to celebrate the end of a great shopping day!

Centro Commerical El Mirador
Looking for something more authentic? Then you must go shopping in Costa Adeje´s top-notch resort of Playa del Duque. This Tenerife shopping centre is a replica of a typical Canarian village with narrow streets leading to charming squares with a variety of restaurants and cafés you can relax in. Many of the shops do not belong to big commercial corporations, so you´ll be helping local artisans as well as purchasing unique items you know none of your friends already have.
Shopping tip: Make sure to check out the Sunday Tenerife market happening on the first and third Sunday of every month. Artisans will be dressed in traditional costumes and local musicians will be playing typical tunes from the island. A true Canarian experience not to miss out on!
Hotel tip: This area is one of the most charming on the island, so if you haven´t decided on a hotel yet, we recommend you take a look at the Iberostar Grand Hotel El Mirador for a luxurious stay. It is ideally located by the water, and connected to this excellent shopping destination! Guests receive a key upon check in, giving them special access to this shopping centre right from the hotel premises. There are of course several other access points through the promenade of the beach, open for the rest of the visitors.

Abrigos Night Market
Not an early riser but you would still like to visit one of the flea markets in Tenerife? No worries, you could still do exactly that and without having to get up early. Los Abrigos is the island´s only regular night market, located in the south of the island in a wonderful square in front of a church. Not overcrowded with stalls, you can browse at ease and still find anything from beach clothing, silver jewellery to island souvenirs.
After-shopping Tip: Finished shopping? Head down to the nearby seafront where you can enjoy a fresh seafood supper at one of the many lovely restaurants. We recommend the sea bass with a Spanish Chardonnay. Buen provecho!
