Chicken tacos are one of the most universal Mexican dishes, popular with adults and kids alike. Don’t give in to the temptation of eating them in fast food joints, or in supermarket-bought packs, cook them yourself! We will teach you how to prepare some authentic homemade chicken tacos.  Ingredients

- 1 chicken breast

- 4 large wheat or corn tortillas (or 8 small ones)

- Strips of lettuce

- Slices of tomato

- Sour cream

 For the sauce:

 - 2 quartered red peppers, seeds removed

- 325 g of canned colored beans, drained, dried and drained again

- 4 large chopped tomatoes

- 1 large chopped onion

- 1 chopped garlic clove

- 1 tablespoon lime juice

- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil

- Salt and pepper

 Preparation

 For the sauce Roast the peppers under the pre-heated grill, with the skin facing upwards, until the skin is charred. Put them in a plastic bag, seal and set aside. Put the beans, tomato, onion, garlic, lime juice and basil in a bowl. Season and mix well. Take the quartered peppers out of the bag; peel, chop and add them to the bean mixture.


 Dice the chicken and sauté well. Meanwhile, heat the tortillas in a non-stick pan without greasing, stacked up and switching the bottom one to the top so that they become uniformly heated. Wrap them in a clean dishtowel to keep them hot. Fill the tortillas with the chicken, the bean salsa, the strips of lettuce, slices of tomato and sour cream. Serve the tacos straight away with a little salad to accompany.
